What Work Would I Need Doing To Prepare Me For Dental Implants?

Hi Dr Fahey! My teeth are absolutely knackered. Some are cracked quite badly and one has fallen out. I know that his sounds quite bad and truthfully it is, the state of my mouth makes me feel terrible in my day to day life. So basically I was wondering, what sort of work might I need before having implants in order to prepare my mouth for them? Would I need extensive amounts of work done? As that could prove too costly for me, especially with the prices of the implants I’d like afterwards. Thanks, look forward to hearing from you soon.

I have severe pain in my tooth, what should I do?

My mower tooth had a hole about 3 years ago hole was on the side rather large had a dentis fill it with white hard stuff and it was more a less good till the last few weeks firstly I had very bad pain from the tooth after about 3 days I had to go to the dentist and he X-ray my tooth in question and said its inflamed all he did then was give me a weeks dose of antibiotics 500 ones I couldn’t eat for days couldn’t even touch the tooth even eating watery soop that was painfull after about 5 days after I could eat some soft things all was getting better and now three weeks on I grinded my tooth slightly and I heard/felt a type of cracking sensation but no pain few days after I couldn’t put much pressure on the tooth again enough to eat but it’s there sort of thing I’m just worried I’m going to eat something that’s going to crack the tooth and how painfull would that be ?? Please give me some advice on what could I do apart from go to the dentist. Many thanks

What are my options to replace/cover/whiten darkened cap?

I got my front right hand tooth snapped horizontally in half (more like 2/3 off) in an accident when I was 9. Originally it was capped (Like a bit stuck on the bottom) which came off twice over time, so when I was 15 was like layered up to stop the block coming off which has been fine but I can’t bite on it (so I was told at the time), I’m now 25 and the colour (Which never matched) really bothers me as it makes my tooth look dirty (very brownish yellow) I currently don’t work, I was curious as to what my options are as to replacing/covering/whitening it?,

Are any of the firms advertising cheap UK implants any good?

I HAVE JUST HAD A TOOTH REMOVED AFTER 5 MONTHS OF ABSESSES AND CANCELLED NHS DENTAL APPOINTMENTS. DURING THE 3 TREATMENTS FOR ROOT CANALS THE DENTIST CHIPPED MY FRONT TOOTH WITH THE DRILL (WHICH I HAVE HAD TO HAVE FILLED) AFTER HAVING THE ABCESSED TOOTH REMOVED i HAVE NOW NOTICED THE ONE NEXT TO IT IS CRACKED WHICH I DONT THINK IT WAS BEFORE AND I AM STARTING TO GET HEADACHES AGAIN. A FRIEND OF MINE SAID SHE HAD DENTAL IMPLANTS FREE AT A SHEFFIELD HOSPITAL A FEW YEARS AGO AS SHE IS SCARED OF THE DENTIST. i TOO AM SCARED OF RETURNING TO MY DENTIST AS THE MORE I GO THE MORE I NEED DOING. I DIDNT USED TO BE SCARED OF THE DENTIST MY PREVIOUS DENTIST HAD BEEN THERE FOR 15 YEARS BEFORE IT GOT TOOK OVER. I WAS CONSIDERING AN IMPLANT BUT NOW AFTER ANOTHER CRACKED TOOTH I THINK I WILL NEED TWO.ARE ANY OF THE FIRMS ADVERTISING CHEAP UK IMPLANTS ANY GOOD? I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE YOU COULD GIVE ME. Hi i will get to the point my tooth has cracked and the pain is getting beyond a joke i don\’t currently work as i am a plasterer and this time of year it is always slow for work and don\’t clam benefits. I don\’t have the money to have my tooth fixed can you tell me what i can do next do you know of any solutions a free practician or college i live in Essex but i can travel to London as i have family their please help me it will be much a help,

What would the cost of a dental implant to replace a lower molar that has cracked and needs replacing?

Would having a dental implant prove to be a solution for my problem?

Hi I had a root canal done last year that I have now found has not been done properly. To have this fixed I have been told it is possible that the tooth may get cracked as the filling has to be removed and the work all redone, in addition to getting a new crown. I was wondering if having the tooth removed and an implant put in place would be a solution to this problem, and what sort of timescale would be involved. Thanks,

I’d like my teeth replaced with dental implants, what do you suggest?

My back teeth were heavily filled when I was a teenager and over the last few years I have lost a back right tooth and all the others are cracking and causing problems also my two front teeth are crowned but I have infections under them and it is a matter of time before they go wrong too. I would like to replace all my cracked teeth and the front ones too and would like either Implants or what else is available please.Can I have a full mouth of implants??. I am 45.Healthy. Please advise me. Thankyou. My currant dentist is of no help and I have been there for one year and asked when I first went there to have crowns on my back teeth but he just ignores my requests and now a back tooth has cracked badly and may have to be removed as he did not listen to me or the X rays that showed all the cracking.,
