How much would it cost for dental implants?

January 23rd, 2011
Q.
My dentist told me that I am going to need implants. This came out of the blue for me and I was not expecting it at all. Why had he not noticed that there was a problem in the first place on our previous check-ups is what I would like to know. Anyhow, can you tell me the cost for one implants and any charges I am likely to incur?,

How much would you say it would cost to get a dental implant and a crown? I look online but no one really seems to give an actual estimate.

September 26th, 2010
Q.
I am down to get a dental implant and a temporary crown. Could you tell me how much the temporary crown will cost? Also, is the temporary crown okay to eat with or will it just take time to get used to like anything new to the mouth?

I am down to get dental implants but my dentist has mentioned something about abutments? At the time I got the gist of what they were but I was hoping you could refresh my memory?

Okay for dental implants if I grind teeth?

September 23rd, 2010
Q.
For many years I have been grinding my teeth. It took me some time to get a mouth guard and by then some of my teeth were beyond repair. I had to have 3 removed and there have been gaps in my teeth for three yeas now. I still grind my teeth and this is something I have not been able to stop. If I am to get dental implants would they be okay seen as I do grind my teeth? I will of course wear mouthguard at night.

I already have a dental crown and have only had it for a few years now. I have now decided to opt for a dental implant and would like to know if the dental crown I am currently using would be able to be connected to the implant or whether i would need to get another one?

Should I get dental implant now or wait?

September 5th, 2010
Q.
I have a crown where one of my teeth needed to be removed as there was an infection. Had it for about three years now and it is fine, but I was told that it would last about ten years and then I would be best to get a dental implant. I am just thinking, would I be best getting it now or should I jsut wait. I ask because is it likely that the price will go up for this procedure or there may even be another treatment down the line?

Does dental insurance cover the cost of dental implants?

September 5th, 2010
Q.
Is dental insurance able to cover any of the dental implant procedure. If not directly for the implant itself do you happen to know if it can cover the bone grafting. Have any of your patients gone down this route?
