What Advice Can You Give Regarding the Implant Procedure? It Sounds Scary to Me!

June 28th, 2015
Q.

Hi Dr Bohara, I’m very worried and hope you can help me. I’m 25 and my teeth are a complete mess. I have more than one broken tooth, and I don’t even know how it’s happened, I feel too young to be in this situation! I know I haven’t been to the dentist since I was 17 so that could be some of the reason, but I’ve done some research and it sounds like I may have to have some of my teeth removed and replaced with implants and if I’m perfectly honest, that sounds scary to me. What advice can you give me regarding this? Thank you.

How Much Does Implant Treatment Cost, And Am I Suitable?

February 28th, 2015
Q.

Dear Dr Glover. I had dental surgery 13 years ago to uncover both my adult canine teeth (kissing canines) in the roof of my palette. It took 6 years to drag the teeth down into place with the use of a brace. My canine teeth were then bonded to fill in the gaps to give a better smile. That was 8 years ago. Now it is being suggested that the teeth do not have a good shelf life and implants would be the way forward. What cost do implants come in at for two canine teeth such as mine? And is there any criteria I must meet to be able to have them? I have been told that I have gum disease which currently affects those two teeth. Many thanks, Caroline.

Are Dental Implants The Way To Go For Me?

January 25th, 2014
Q.

I have three missing teeth and my doctor has mentioned overcoming this with dental implants. I have a real fear of any kind of surgery or needles and wondered if I had any other options? One of my missing teeth fell out about five years ago so my doctor isn’t sure how successful an implant would be there as there may be little bone left in that area. It all just seems too complicated and serious. I have had five years with no tooth and there have been no problems. but i have changed are and my new dentist isn’t happy leaving the hole in my mouth. He is very keen on the idea of dental implants but I am too worried to find out exactly what the procedure is. Do you think this treatment would be best for me or something less severe like false teeth?
