Why has bone not regrown after case of periodontistis?

December 17th, 2011
Q.
Hello, my problem is that when i was younger I had periodontitis affecting my front two bottom incisors. Consequently the bone eroded away and has left me with two very loose teeth with little or no gum surrounding or supporting them. Is there any way to fix the problem?? Why has thw bone not regrown over the years?,

My oral surgeon is not sure why my dental implant/tooth is a little loose and some infection is in there. Can they easily remove the tooth to view the implant? He wants to cut into my gum!,

Can you suggest an alternative to dentures?

November 21st, 2011
Q.
Hi, I have a lot of decay and several roots which need to be removed. I have 3 crowns on the top which are at the front and I really like. However one of my front teeth snapped and a dentist temporarily built it up using filling material. I am quite phobic and so I have not been back and it is now discoloured. I am sure that the decay has caused a lot of gum disease, but I really really cant bring myself to have dentures. I am 50,

I was meant to get conventional implants but on the day of treatment was given mini implants. Should I be concerned?

October 14th, 2011
Q.
I recently had 5 mini implants placed in my upper jaw immediately after the removal of several teeth.During my initial consultation I was advised that the larger conventional implants would be best. But on the day of surgery was told that because I had bad gum disease it would compromise the implants and therefore best to use mini implants.I am slightly concerned and my confidence in this clinic is a little shaken.Does the advice sound valid to you?,
