I got implants 4 weeks ago. When I bite down one of the teeth next to an implants hurts. Is this a concern?

August 4th, 2011
Q.
I had dental implants 4 weeks ago in my upper jaw. They seem to have healed fine except when I bite on the tooth next to one of the implants it hurts. I have a check up in 3 weeks but wonder whether I need to get this looked at before my appointment. Thanks,

My screw has fallen out and my dentist is out of the country, what should I do?

July 1st, 2011
Q.
I have just had the second stage carried out on 3 implants lastTuesday. Today one of the gold screws came loose and fell out of the implant. I have been taking antibiotics as a precaution since Wednesday but I am worried as my dentist is out of the country till next Monday and I am not sure how serios this is. Also can I eat or will it infect the implant as there is no cover over the hole in my gum. thanks for you reply,

I’m experiencing terrible pain from my right jaw since having the implants, what should I do?

July 1st, 2011
Q.
two weeks ago I had 2 implants in my right jaw. I have terrible pain since then. The place of the implants are 5 and 6 but implant 5 is very close to tooth number 4 (approximately 3mm ) Is it normal? Can it be related to the nerve system? Thanks,

Is the dental implant causing me pain? Or is it something else?

April 22nd, 2011
Q.
Hi dr, i had an implant 2 weeks ago (upper front tooth) and everything seemed fine. Just recently however my gums have turned very red and are bleeding slightly where i had the implant, they\’re swollen and it\’s very hard to eat anything as it feels as if it has spread around my whole mouth. Is the implant causing this pain? or is it something else do you think?,

Do I need to do the grafting before putting in the crown or can all that be done after the crown is placed?

April 8th, 2011
Q.
I had my implant done about 8 years ago. About 2 years ago my crown was replaced, unfurtunally when replacing the new crown to much cement was used and caused several infection until it was desided to be removed. Has since then had a smaler bone craft done and now a year later would like to get my \”tooth\” back (upper front) I undrstand that I do need additional boone and gum graft to restore what has been reduced by infection. My question is: Do I need to do the grafting before putting in the crown or can all that be done after the crown is placed? My implant has never been remopved and has been and is solid.,

I am 65 with long standing gingivitis and now have a large molar which is loose and causing problems with infection. I have several crowns which I have had for approximately 13 years and a molar gap next to the problem tooth. I live in South Devon and do not wish to travel too far. What is your advice please?,
