What factors make a patient unsuitable for dental implants?

Q. In what cases are patients able to get a dental implant. I guess there must be circumstances where people are unable to do so. I am asking becuase I myself am looking into the procedure now that I think my crown is coming to the end of its life.
A. There are many reasons why a person cannot have dental implants i.e health reasons, poor healing, poor oral hygiene, patient has gum disease, etc. There are too many to list but you would have to have an examination to see if you were suitable.
