What is your professional opinion of the all on 4 method of implant dentistry. I ask because the dentist who did a four implant and bar overdenture on my lower jaw dismisses the procedure out of hand when i asked him about it. However, a perodontist, with experience in the all in four technique, tells me after a full consultation (with c-scan) that I am a good candidate for the all on 4 (for me all on 5) procedure for my maxilla. I ask for your opinion because I am now confused and would appreciate feedback.

Of course conventional treatment has longer term longitudinal research over the all on 4 or 5 concept. The questions should be asking are
1. how experienced is the surgeon
2. how many implants has he /she placed
3. Is this the best option option for me.

Each person and case is different. I do many all on 4 procedures but depends on the individual circumstances.
