Q. Is there a life span for dental implants? I am guessing it depends on hwo well you take care of them – is there any particularly things I should do to prolong the life of an implant?
A. I say to patients that implants can last up to 10 to 15 years and may be even last longer than this. Of course this will depend on
1. having good oral hygiene
2. seeing the dentist and hygienist regularly.
3. systemic health of the patient
4. the patients biting habits
5……..and many more.
