Which is my best option for treating an infected tooth?

Q.
My requirements: a) Root canal therapy two canals-cast post and core – crown preparation and impression -porcelain bonded Br non-precious or b) a complex extraction or c) and implant.
The particular tooth in question is the end one of a row of crowns, it is painful and being treated at the moment with antibiotic. I have to decide soon as to which option I choose.
My age – 70
Have very recently had an MRI plus a CT scan and wish to have neither of these as part of my future treatments.
I hope you will be able to give me some helpful decision making advice.
I live in Berkshire

My suggestion from what you say, would be (unless there was a very good chance of success with the root canal treatment)to remove it and see how you go. I think you are discussing a molar tooth, therefore if you want to replace it with an implant you have 12 weeks to the extraction site would be healed enough for implant placement
