Q. I have 3 crown & posts in my front top teeth which my dentist tells me won\’t last forever as they are on the thickest post possible now. What sort of implant would you suggest and why do the prices vary so much between £700 – £3000 per implant. Kind regards ,
A. Thanks for your question. The type and size of implants used would be decided upon after a consultation and takes into account the amount of bone available, the number of teeth to be replaced and where in the mouth. The fee for implants can vary widely and will be influenced by the quality of the materials the dentist uses and the level of training they have and their team. It\’s also important to check what the price covers as some practices will give a price for the implant but not the restoration (crown or bridge) and this can have a bearing on the price.
