Why has bone not regrown after case of periodontistis?

Q. Hello, my problem is that when i was younger I had periodontitis affecting my front two bottom incisors. Consequently the bone eroded away and has left me with two very loose teeth with little or no gum surrounding or supporting them. Is there any way to fix the problem?? Why has thw bone not regrown over the years?,
A. The bone won’t regrow after gum disease, you may need the teeth removed and replaced with implants although you might need the bone rebuilding 1st
