Why has my implant crown broke in two for the second time? What can be done?

Q. I had two upper right implants that were completed in May, 2020. In June, 2010 the crown on one of them broke in two. The dentist replaced it. It is 5 months later and it broke in two again. What would cause this and what is my recourse. I am 62 yrs of age with extensive dental work. I paid over $5,000 each.,
A. Its probably something to do with the bite as it takes quite some force to fracture a crown. Perhaps you should talk to your dentist and ask him to make you a bite raising appliance in case you are grinding or clenching your teeth at night
