Would having a dental implant prove to be a solution for my problem?

Q. Hi I had a root canal done last year that I have now found has not been done properly. To have this fixed I have been told it is possible that the tooth may get cracked as the filling has to be removed and the work all redone, in addition to getting a new crown. I was wondering if having the tooth removed and an implant put in place would be a solution to this problem, and what sort of timescale would be involved. Thanks,
A. Yes an implant can be a good solution if the tooth cannot be saved and needs removal
