Would implants be able to close my front tooth gap?

Q. I have a gap between my two front teeth (approx 3mm). My two front teeth are each approx 9mm wide and I was told a while ago that they are two wide to be crowned and so close the gap. Would dental implants (involving either two, or four of the front teeth) be a way of closing this gap, and if so, how long would this treatment take? Thanks,
A. Not sure if implants are a good solution for such a small gap unless the teeth have a very poor prognosis, maybe orthodontics and/or veneers on the 4 front teeth might be the better options
