Would implants be able to help in case where there is internal (or external) resorbtion of the tooth?

Q. Hi, I have what I think my dentist called an internal or external resorbtion of one of my lower front teeth ( where it dissolves and corrodes from the inside ) I\’ve had it now for over a year and decided to leave it there as it wasn\’t causing any serious pain, just the occasional tingle or slight ache. The last 3 days though it\’s been causing me strong aching pain and is very sensitive to any pressure from eating, biting etc… Is this resorbtion going to cause further problems if left? Like spreading to other teeth or into my jawbone? Will an implant be the best option, as the tooth is dead but just corroding away inside? Is this a common reason for implants and does it pose any problems for implant purposes, or do you just remove the resorbing tooth and replace it? Any advice,
A. Yes implants work really well in this situation but you might need to act quickly as removal of the tooth can become tricky if it dissolves away significantly. If you\’d like me to take a look call my clinic in Essex
