Is it possible to get implants to support my dentures?

June 11th, 2011
Q.
I have dentures after I got them fitted over a year ago. This was through the NHS and obviously I could not get implants to secure them. Would this still be possible to do even though I have had them for a year? What cost would you expect me to pay for this treatment?,

Can I get implant in empty socket where previous one fell out?

June 11th, 2011
Q.
About 15yrs. ago I had a full upper prosthetic denture supposedly supported on 4 implants. One of them was crooked and therefore unuseaable and around 5yrs. ago I started getting infections and eventually one of them fell out.Can a new implant be used in the empty socket and could the useless crooked one be replaced correctly and would this work necessitate a new prosthesis.,

Would it be okay to wait an implant after tooth extraction before getting an implant?

June 11th, 2011
Q.
At the age of 22, I have just had one of my molars extracted because it was infected. When is the optimum time to get an implant? Currently I am not in the best financial position and could therefore do with waiting a year, but I have been reading about changes in the bone structure after extraction and if success is much greater with immediate placement, then it would be in my best interests to have treatment earlier.,

Can you advise me after failed bone graft, as I don’t want to return to dentist who nearly killed me?

June 9th, 2011
Q.
In Nov 09 I had all my top teeth pulled after having a 9 unit bridge fail. The teeth extracted were 6,7,8,11,& 12, Implants were placed in 11 & 12. Bone graft was done on total upper jaw. I have a bleeding disorder called Von Willibrands. I ended up in the hospital that night and had to stay to get a special drip for my bleeding. I bleed so much that I threw up a lot. I was real concerned about damage all of this could have had done to my bone graft. I had a front missing that had caused a lot of bone loss. The dentures made had the impress were the bone loss was. So this caused the new bone to be pushed in. It also caused my stitches to tear louse to soon. I choose not to go back to this surgeon because he could have killed me by not doing his job with my Haematologist as he was given number and was suppose to do. He said since I had a few pulled before he thought it would be ok not to, since they tried once and didn\’t get a call back. My concerns or now before I have new teeth made is that i have a lot of sensitivity by implants and a lot of bone loss in 7,8,9,and 10. and a dip in the center of my mouth where bone was pushed. I basicly have a lot of uncomfort. I feel like somethings not right. the surgeon I saw to put abundment in says it doesn\’t have to be perfect. I dont want to go any further unless things or right. I feel that i need more bone put in that i loss from bleeding, throwing up and have dentures that had not been corrected for bone implant. Could you give me some advice. Thank you. Wish I could send pictures.,

Would mini implants be a good option to replace front tooth gaps?

June 9th, 2011
Q.
I\’ve had two large gaps in between the first two teeth at the top and the first two teeth on the bottom jaw. They\’ve been there my whole life and braces haven\’t cured these gaps. my dentist has mentioned mini implants but i\’ve heard that they don\’t have a great track record. Can you give me some advice/recommendations?,

I suffer from TMJ problems, would dental implants make it worse?

June 6th, 2011
Q.
Hello, I suffer from bad TMJ problems but I am in dire need for implants because I have several missing teeth. Would the implant procedure make my TMJ worse do you think? or could it improve it? I already suffer badly from it, I don\’t want to make it even worse! Thank you.,
