What credentials should I look for in an implant dentist?

Q. What credentials should I look for in an implant dentist? Specialist?,

A. The are no specialists in the field of implantology. My advice would be to see what postgraduate education has been done. Ask how many implants the surgeon has placed and ask to see a portfolio of his/her cases.

What credentials should I look for in an implant dentist?

Q. I have read that you should make sure to get a dentist who is well experienced with doing the dental implant procedure but how am I supposed to find out who is and isn’t? Is there an online resource or something that can give me this kind of information easil?

A. Ask your dentist what post graduate courses they have attended and if they have any extra qualifications such as an msc or dip imp dent after their name
