What action should I take to fix a broken false tooth?

January 25th, 2011
Q.
I have an old type bridge that was fitted 25 years ago – the back tooth being crowned, with a metal bar running along the roof of my mouth to the front, where a “false” tooth is attached. This has worked perfectly well for me for 25 years but unfortunately today the front tooth has broken. What would be my best course of action – a dental implant or dentures! Remembering that the back tooth will also need to be re-crowned I presume! Could u please also advise approximate costs involved if possible. Many thanks,

Filling has come out on root canalled tooth and dentist says I now need an implant. Is this normal?

October 26th, 2010
Q.
2 years ago I had a root canal done on my top left tooth (no 5 I think). Since then the filling has come out and the tooth has broken, Now my dentist is telling me I will have to pay for an implant. I want to know is it normal for this sort of thing to happen and shouldn\’t the tooth have been capped or anything when the root canal was done?,

What can I do to get my smile back?

August 27th, 2010
Q.
i desperately need my teeth sorting out!!! for years i was addicted to everything sugary, packets of sweets everyday, cakes, chocolate, i drank like 8 cans of coke a day, ribena everything, etc, i was really bad, due to this i put on a lot of weight!! january 2010 i decided i needed to sort myself out, i have now lost over 5 stone and still losing it but the problem is due to the fact that i have also been terrified of the dentist i am now left with the remains of 4 broken teeth, 2 at the front and 2 at the back, i regret not going to a dentist before they had broken!! i would just like to ask you what resolution do you suggest i get in order to give me my smile back because at one time people used to comment on how lovely my teeth where i would like that back again!!!,

Can you give me some advice about how to go about being put to sleep to have a tooth removed?

August 2nd, 2010
Q.
Hello, Please can you give me some advice about how to go about being put to sleep to have a tooth removed. Since i was 7 and the dentist took my tooth out which wasnt nessacary i have the worst fear of the dentist. I need a root canel on one of teeth at the back but as my fear is so bad i have left it for 5 years, i keep getting infections and have a permant absese on my gum. I was chewing a chewing gum and half of my tooth snapped off. I braved going to the dentist today which i must add was disgusting and the dentist just pulled the equipment out of a wooden draw, no gloves on etc, and said he would remove the that was snapped. He now says i will have to have a root canel or have the tooth removed. However i cannot face going to the dentist to have this procedure unless they will put to me sleep. Please can you advise how/ if i go about getting it removed whilst being put to sleep. Thank you,
