I’m going to have a dental crown but can i have a dental implant when the crown reaches the end of its life?

My dentist has given me the option of a dental implant or dental crown. At the moment I can not afford a dental implant and so am going to go with the dental crown. When that reaches the end of its life would I be fine to go ahead with getting a dental implant, hoping that I have the money that is?,

How long can I expect a dental implant to last?

My dentist has told me I can either get a crown or an implant which would need a crown as well obviously. Nowm, other than the price how long they last is also going to sway my decision. How long can I expect the implant to last? What about the crown for on its own and if I do get a implant? If you know what I mean.,

How much would it cost for dental implants?

My dentist told me that I am going to need implants. This came out of the blue for me and I was not expecting it at all. Why had he not noticed that there was a problem in the first place on our previous check-ups is what I would like to know. Anyhow, can you tell me the cost for one implants and any charges I am likely to incur?,

How much would the bone augmentation cost on top of the implants?

My dentist has told me I need implants but has then told me that I also need bone augmentation. This sounds scary to me but if its for he cause of good teeth then I can make an exception. How much would this add on to the cost of implants though, please?,

The treatment seems very costly, is this the best treatment for me?

Hi, please can i ask for your advise, I had a fall several years ago, & my front tooth died so i had route canal & vaneer fitted however the tooth is now coming lose so my dentist has advised that i have a implant costing in total with bone graffting around £3000. He said it would take around 8 months in total to complete as the longer we leave my gum to heal the better the results. However he called me today to say that i should go to see a specialist dentist who could do the work in one go but the consultation is £95.00 i m a little confussed now. Is this just a way to get more money from me or is this the best option for me?,

Dentist told me I am not a candidate for implants. Any advice?

Hi, I recently visited my new dentist and he has told me that, due to smoking (quit 12 months ago)and using nicotine gum I will not be a good candidate for implants. I think that I would need bone grafts too but he says that because of my history of smoking my chance of failure is so high that he will not even talk about it. All he has told me is that he will GUARANTEE that I will lose a few more teeth in the near future! HELP!!!,
