Can my current crown be used when I get dental implant?

October 16th, 2010
Q.
I already have a dental crown and have done for about two years now. I am going to get a dental implant where it is and was wiondering if the same crown can be attached to the dental implant when I get it? Or will I have to get a new one? If so I might just wait.

Dental implant for gap where no permanent tooth came through?

October 16th, 2010
Q.
When one of baby teeth fell out no permanent tooth came through to close the gap. Now the gap has closed somewhat and I am 17 but really wanto to fill the gap that is ruining my smile. Would dental implants be a good way to go? I think I may need to get braces or something to widen the gap a bit – can this be done?

Is implant treatment performed at dentist?

October 14th, 2010
Q.
Is dental implant a treatment you can get at your normal dentist or is required to go to some kind of specialist? I don’t think my dentist offers this treatment, which is why I ask.

Is implant necessary? Could I not just get crown?

October 14th, 2010
Q.
Is there real difference betwee getrting an implant and a crown and just getting a crown? Would the crown not just do as good a job on its own? The crown would need to be replaced either way wouldn’t it?

Is a dental crown a good alternative to dental implant? My dentist said I could have both but I can not afford dental implants at the moment. I would like to get them in the future though.
