Able to have implant during ortho treatment?

Q.
I am due to have damon braces fitted early in January. However a tooth that has historically been a problem (is a root filled crown premolar)is now very loose and I guess likely to be on its last legs. An implant has been mentioned before but the addditional cost has been a major con. Is it possible to have an implant during ortho treatment or would I need to sort out the errant tooth first?
