What treatment is available for chipped teeth?

Q. I am in my late twenties and having a horrible problem where my teeth seem to be getting chipped constantly. My mother had the same problem so I think it must be hereditary. Could you please tell me treatment options – implant, bridge, crowns? Thank you.
A. Hi, many thanks for your email. The main options for teeth that are chipped are:

1: Composite build ups
2: Veneers
3: Crowns

The first thing is to assess why the chipping is occuring, are you grinding your teeth at night or do you just have weak teeth?? The next thing would be to seek the advice of a dentist to assess which of the above options would help improve things for you.

Hope this is helpful.
