Would an implant be able to replace baby tooth?

Q. One of my teeth is a baby tooth that has never fully erupted. My dentist tells me there is no tooth waiting to come through beneath it and I am worried that it will fall out soon and I will look evern more stupid without it than I do with it. Can implants help me with this annoying baby tooth problem?
A. Implants are a good way of replacing missing teeth. I have replaced many baby teeth in adults by dental implants.

How many implants are needed to support a denture?

Q. I currently have a full denture for my upper mouth – can you tell me how many implants I would need to get tot hold it in place more firm? An implant denture is a good way to make them less movable I have read so I am hoping this is achievable?
A. Hi

For the upper, I always recommend 4 as a minimum, but the more implants you have the better. There are also other factors which have to be taken into account before deciding on the number of impants. This would be discussed after clinical and radiographic examination. I hope this helps.

Is it necessary to have gum treatment before getting implants?

Q. I am in my 50s and even though i take good care of my teeth and don’t drink things like red wine one tooth is on its way out and this has been confirmed by my dentist. she has recommended an implant to me and she said the gums may need some work but cna you advise on whether this treatment is right and any other advice would be helpful.
A. Hi

If you have gum disease, then you would require this treated prior to implant placement. It is very important to have healthy gums as this could affect the prognosis of the implant.

What are the main options to replace missing teeth?

I have had a bridge for some time now and my dentist has said it will need replacing soon. he mentioned dentures with implants but am still not in favour of dentures but the implants do seem like a good way to get a good structure going. are there any alternatives to dentures to have with implants?

What should I do about painful tooth in bottom jaw?

Q. I have overcrowed teeth at the bottom and one in particular is very painful…what do you suggest I do?

How many implants needed to replace all teeth in upper jaw?

Q. how many implants needed in your opinion dr bohara for teeth in upper jaw that are all going to need to be replaced. how many tooths as well fake tooths that is?
A. I would always recommend 6 implants being a minimum in the upper jaw(to reconstruct all the teeth). But there have been cases wheere I have placed 4 due to a patients budget. Each case is different.
