Do implants contain any dangerous components?

Q. Is there the possibility that any of the properties contained in a dental implant may be potentially harmful to a person? I have been told I need to get an implant and want to ease the concerns I have running through my mind.
A. Hi, many thanks for your email. A dental implant is made from titanium, it is an inert metal so there is no documented cases of harm via this material to your body. Hope this is helpful.
