I have a lisp since getting my temporary bridge. Will this go away?

Q. just has a temporary bridge fiited before my real bridge in 8 weeks but i cannot speak properly i have a really bad lisp is this normal and will it go?,
A. Hi many thanks for your email, a lisp is very normal when the position of teeth is changed or a new setup of teeth is placed in your mouth. generally studies have proven that if the initially setup is correct speech will go back to normal but can take as long as 12 months in some cases. hope this is helpful.
