Q. Is the bone grafting procedure major surgery? If so, I am guessing it is actually done in a hospital? Also, what kind of sedation is used for the procedure?
A. It really depends on the amount of grafting to be done. If you require major grafting , then this would have to be done in hospital i.e graft from the hip.
If you require major grafting the GA would be required. If minor is required then iv sedation would be suitable.
