Are implants suitable to replace teeth lost through periodontal gum disease?

Q. Are implants suitable to replace teeth lost through periodontal gum disease?,
A. Implants can be used in some cases, however there would need to be suitable amounts of bone available. The periodontal health would need to be improved in order for implants to be successful as they can be affected by periodontal disease. I hope that this helps. Regards George Glover
