Can dental implant be reattached?

Q. Over the past year I have had three dental implant put all, all of which was performed under IV sedation. Everythin was fine until a week ago when one of the implants began to feel a bit strange, not exactly sure that is the right word but thats what it was. And then, the attached tooth became losse and has now fallen off! I know I will need to get an appointment but why did this happen? Can the tooth that has fallen out be attached again?
A. It should be able to be reattached if the implant is all ok.
