Q. Hi Nick, I had a dental implant about 8 years ago and I think I am developing gum disease right above the implant. I have only noticed it in the last week but it already bleeds and i pushed down on the swelling today and a bad smelling small amount of puss and blood came out. Does this mean it is quite advanced? I am currently living away from my country and cannot see a dentist for quite a while. Will I loose my tooth? Thank you
A. it sounds like you have an infection, without examining you it is impossible to advise you
. if away from your dentist then get the dr to prescribe you some antibiotics and see your dentist asap
