Q. I got a tooth extracted and a tooth implant put in on friday. It is a real pain if I tell the truth. When will the pain and swelling begin to fade away, and how long will it take me to get used to it in general?
A. hi many thanks for your email, the main discomfort should subside within a week. the dentist has probably prescribed antibiotics and pain killers so make sure you take these. i would also recommend salt water mouth washes, antiseptic mouthwashes and also arnica is very good to help the healing process. If the pain or swelling does get worse i recommend you go back to the dentist.
