The bone where I had the implant placed has fractured, what do I do?

July 20th, 2010
Q.
Hi I had a dental implant placed a few weeks ago and everything seemed fantastic until i started suffering with extreme pain. My dentist has said the implant area has fractured because there wasn\’t as much bone as he thought and my mouth has rejected the implant, i\’m really upset by this, what can I do now? The implants were to replace to missing bottom teeth, thank you for any help in advance.,

What can be done about the hairline fracture next to my implant?

July 2nd, 2010
Q.
Three weeks ago I had a single lower jaw dental implant. From the start there was severe pain. I went back to my dentist a week later and was given pain killers, but had no xray. After four trips to casualty for help with excruciating pain and one visit to max/fax an xray revealed a hairline fracture next to the implant. I am still in terrible pain and taking a cocktail of strong pain killers. Will be seeing my dentist on Monday. Could you please tell me what might be done to help me and how much longer the pain is likely to continue. Many thanks.,

Has dentla implant treatment hit a nerve?

February 16th, 2010
Q.
I had five implants in my lower jaw in November 2009. I am 60 and was told that because of the bone atrophy of 38 years, my jaw was like that of a 90 year. During the surgery with implant “B” my left arm and left leg came flying up in the air which of course frightened the Surgeon as well as the patient . I had no contol over that motion as a nerve had been struck. That implant came loose and had to be replaced five weeks later. When the freezing needle was inserted the nerve again was hit causing the same reaction. Since then I have been having excruciating pain in my right shoulder blade, shoulder and arm.Sometimes in all three locations or it can be in either the arm or shoulder or shoulder blade. Is this something that will eventually clear up? Is the Implant on the nerve? Meds and hot baths and exercises as well as prayer help temporarily-but what is the big picture. A few minutes on the computer intesifies the pain and that is even with using my left hand.Even driving antagonizes it. Has anyone else experiened this, as I somehow don”t believe this is an isolated case.

Why am I getting pain in jaw where implant was placed over a year ago?

February 15th, 2010
Q.
About two years ago now I had my dental implant fitted and eeverything has been great. Then just under under a week ago I was getting this pain in my gum in the area where the implants was implanted. My dentist recommended me to a specialist and he told me I had a sinus on the gum which is causing the trouble. I have been prescribed antibiotics and a clening method. Do you have any experience with this. Is this normal?
