Q. What are the major factors that play a part in whether or not a dental implant is successfully implanted? Is there any possibility that an implant could possibly fail a couple of years after the treatment has been performed?
A. hi many thanks for your email, the major factors that cause implant failure are:
1:poor bone quality
2:poor blood supply
3:medically comprimised, ie diabetic
4:overloading of the implant
5:smoking
