What is involved in the dental implant procedure?

Q. I am just writing to find some more details on the dental implant procedure, and how long it actually takes. When I go to get my tooth extracted it it the norm to get the implant put in straight away or will I have to wait some time? If so, how long? Also, once the implant is put in how long will I then need to wait to have a fake tooth attached?
A. Hi

In some cases the implants can be placed after the tooth has to been extracted. Of course this will depend on certain circumstances which would be discussed at the examination. If the implant can not be placed immediately then it can be placed 2 – 3 months later after extarction.

Afeter the implant is placed, it is best to allow integration before loading It. Therfore a crown will usually be placed 2 to 3 months after the implant has been placed.
