Will I be able to see implant once implanted?

Q. Do the dental implants go right into the gum and bone so that they should not be seen or wil I be able to see them popping through when I get it done?
A. Dental implants are placed into the bone which lies under the gum. Each situation is different and a healing cap will be placed on the impalnt which protrudes 1 to 2mm above the gum,
