Q.
Hi, I was wondering can you please help me. I am 23 years old and when I was 17 I was given a bridge on my front 4 teeth on the NHS. I had perfect teeth apart from these which I had problems with – some adult ones not developing properly/also I would grind them in my sleep. At the time I remember not liking the bridge – it felt \’fake\’ and looked to me, quite like an elderly person would wear without causing offence. It made smiling \’ok\’ but not what I\’d hoped. I\’d gone through having braces previously & am even more disappointed with the bridge years later as at the gumline it is starting to get really, really dark & you can see a hole/metal at the top. I\’ve made an appt with my dentist to discuss this but I\’m guessing she\’s going to tell me things are fine/as it is more of a cosmetic problem I have with it. My q is please – I am receiving benefits at the moment for another medical issue. I dont have a lot of money. Is there any options to replace an awful NHS bridge? Seeing it is \’fixed\’ etc. I see so many people having smile makeovers with veneers/implants etc. Do the NHS do this for people like me do you know? Or do sometimes private dentists offer free makeovers if they can use before/afters? Thank you.,
