Q. I was an assistant for 11 years. I would like to know how common it is for a mini implant to break off while the dentist is doing it\’s placement? And if that were to occur, what would be the next thing to do? Should it be removed?,
A. It is very uncommon and if it did break during placement yes it should be removed there and then.
