Q. What possible risks may come about with the dental implant procedure?
A. As with any surgical procedure there is risks involved including post operative swelling, discomfort or infection. This is minimised by the sterile approach during surgery and the use of antibiotics. There is also a risk of damaging adjacent structures such as teeth or nerves. This should also be minimised by using accurate x rays and scans before the procedure
