Which anaesthetic is used during dental implant treatment?
Q. In your opinion, what is the better option of anaesthetic to be used in the dental implant procedure? I am a healthy adult, or so I like to think, but have little experience with major dental procedures and what is involved?
A. Hi, many thanks for your email. Most of my patient have an implant procedure done under local anesthetic, if you are very anxious about the procedure then the other option is to have intravenous sedation however this does require you to be accompanied by an adult. also this does usually raise the cost of the procedure. hope this information is helpful.
