Q. Would you be able to tell me how long it is before and after the dental implant procedure that you are unable to smoke? I smoke cannabis for medical reasons and will maybe need to intake the medication a different way if I am unable to smoke for a sufficient space of time?
A. I usually ask my patients to quit smoking if they are having implants , as this can affect the success rate of the procedure and longevity of the implants. Those who do not have to be aware of the risks.
