Would you agree that the dental implants may not be appropriate?

Q. I had my two front teeth root filled and crowned 25 years ago after a childhood bicycle accident. After 18months of cortico steroid treatment for an autoimmune muscle condition one of these root fillings is now infected. I am in discussion with my dentist regarding the best course of treatment. He has recently begun implant procedures and teaches at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. He is concerned that implants would not be appropriate as it would be too difficult to line them up as I show a lot of the gum line when I smile and is leaning towards re-doing the root fillings. Would you agree that implants may not be appropriate?,
A. Implants would still work but may be a bit more difficult in your case. You maybe need to see a very experienced implant dentist who may need to graft the area either with bone or gum or both
