Is my sickly feeling caused by implant procedure?

August 8th, 2010
Q.
I am currently having treatmetn for a dental implant. I have had the implant put in and the stitches have removed removed. However, I still feel sicky and unwell. Could this in any way be related to the treatment? I still need to get a replacement tooth fitted but don’t think I am capable of going through with this the way I am feeling.

Am I able to get implants now that gum disease is stable?

August 8th, 2010
Q.
I had gum disease but I have finally managed to rid myself of this disgusting disease. I have been in need of dental implants for a while but have been waiting for the gum disease to go away. Am I okay to get implants as long as there is no sign of gum disease?

Can implants help to fit dentures more firmly?

August 8th, 2010
Q.
I have a denture but I find that it never feels all that well fitted into my mouth. I have heard that implants can help to make dentures more secure in the mouth. Is there any truth to this?

Is it best to do bong grafting and implant at seperate times?

August 8th, 2010
Q.
Would you please be able to tell me what the common practice is for the following? I need grafting and am still to get the tooth removed. I was wondering if this is better done all as one, or whether the dentist will give the area time to heal after the tooth is extracted before before doing the grafting?

Should I get an implant or a bridge?

August 7th, 2010
Q.
My dentist has said that I can have a bridge or an implant to replace my missing tooth. Which would you advise for long term results. Money is not too much of an issue as I want to get this sorted.

What treatment is available for missing teeth?

August 7th, 2010
Q.
One of the teeth toward the back of my mouth has been removed due to decay. My dentist has suggested that I have an implant or even dentures. Dentures sound like they should be for an old man and imaplnts seem quite expensive. I have been looking into a bridge as another option. Is this possible?

What options are theret to replace dentures with implants?

August 7th, 2010
Q.
I have dentures, which I find are a nuisance to hold in place with denture glue. Dental implants seem like a good option, but I would like to know how many implants would be required for all the teeth both top and bottom, and possibly an estimate of how much this would cost? Thanks.

Is bone grafting really a safe option?

August 7th, 2010
Q.
Is bone grafting really a safe option when it comes to dental implants. The thought of taking bone from another part of my body makes me cringe. Is it really safe???

What sedation is available for the implant procedure?

August 7th, 2010
Q.
I am in no way a fan of the dentist, and would go as far to say that I have a phobia. It took me a long time to admit such a thing to myself but I can not deny it. However, I don’t wnat o lose my nice smile. I am okay with routine check ups, but when it gets to soemthing major I run away scared. My dentist has now told me that I need dental implants. I feel too scared to do this, but have heard about some sedation techniques. Could you offer me any advice on this, please?
