Can I get implants on the NHS?

December 3rd, 2011
Q.
I would like to ascertain if people are eligible for implant on NHS or subsidised somewhat as an NHS patient ? I have just been advised by my dentist that due to the fact my root canal treatment has failed then an implant is the best option. I am very concerned at the potential costs, i am also concerned that my dentist has advised the bone in my jaw has shrank significantly and will continue to do so which will eventually cause problems with my remaining teeth !,

What options are available to me in regards to my dental bridge?

July 1st, 2011
Q.
At the ago of 10 I sustained an injury at a swmming pool. My L central incisor was knocked out and reinserted within minutes, my R central incisor was chipped and has since been capped and my L lateral incisor was impacted into the gum and likely chipped. My current situation is that I have a cap for my R central incisor, a veneer for my L central incisor (since about age 15) and a Maryland bridge where my L lateral incisor used to be, since age 14-15.Only 1 wing remains and that is attached to my L canine, the other wing before the veneer loosened and was removed. The retained root from my L lateral incisor was also removed in 2005, at the same time I had my 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed, but has left a small gap above my bridge where the gum did not grown back fully. What options do I have available? Given my dental work is intact as it were, I wonder when is the best time to puruse this? Many thanks.,
