I have an implant on my right front tooth and this has been in place for 8 years. Recently the implant has moved (I have noticed a gap in my teeth which was not there before) although it is not loose. Also in the last 2 weeks I have had a small spot above the tooth which my dentist tells me is where an infection is draining. My dentist has advised me to contact the dentist who did the implant as she is unsure what treatment if any is needed. The practice that fitted the implant is no longer in business so I am a little stuck. I am reluctant to just call any implant specialist as I have had some very bad experiences with dentist which has lead me to have to have an implant in the first place so don’t want to get my fingers burnt again and be presented with a high bill which is unnecessary.
