Q. I grind my teeth in my sleep. It has been put down to stress but it is hard relaxing after a hard day. I wear a mouthguard to protect my teeth, but would really like to get dental implants as they are not in the best of conditions. Would I be able to get dental implants considering I grind my teeth at night or would this possibly cause a problem?
A. hi many thanks for your email, the grinding of the teeth will occur with or without dental implants so my advice would be to make sure the occlusion once the implants are in is ideal and that a mouthguard is still worn religiously.
