Okay to get implant if have rheumatoid arthritis?

Q. I have rheumatoid arthritis which can lead to osteoporosis. Can this affect a full set implant? I had an infection in front lower tooth and a ‘shadow’ across the other front teeth. The hospital cut through the bone to remove infection, but it returned and my dentist decided to remove all 4 teeth, leaving me with a denture. I have problems with remaining back teeth, and a loose crown, which holds the denture. I already have trouble with the denture and as I have a shallow jaw, I don’t see how a full denture would stay in place. He has suggested implants. I am worried if the Rheumatoid Arthritis and various future medications plus the removal of bone from front teeth will have an effect on implants.
A. hi many thanks for your email, my advice is that unfortunately although you are medically comprimised the options you have are limited. the dental implants to retain the denture or regain fixed teeth would be in my advice the best option.
