September 2nd, 2010
Q.
Is it at all possible to get a the whole dental implant malarky done in one or two appointments. I mean getting a tooth cextracted, getting the dental implant and then getting a tooth attached to this? Or does the gums and bone need more time to recover between these different stages?

Is it safe to get three dental implants at once?

September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I am down to get three dental implants in two weeks time, however I am starting to worry that it may have been a better idea to get them done one at a time. Is it safe to get all three done at the same time or is there more chance of problems?

How much recovery time is required after dental implants?

September 2nd, 2010
Q.
How long does the dental implant procedure take? Would I be able to take a couple of hours out of a working day or would it require time for recovery? Also, how long would the procedure after that in the future to get a crown fitted take?

Are dental implants causing tooth sensitivity?

September 2nd, 2010
Q.
Hi, I had dental implants about six months ago. Initially had no pain. After four months I had my teeth put in and since then have had a constant dull ache in the area, including sensitivity to heat, cold and sweetness. Thinking it was possibly the next tooth, I have had root treatment on that tooth, but it has made no difference. Now neuralgia is being suggested, but I have researched and don’t see the symptoms as the same. What else could it be? Thanks

Is there an age limit for bone grafting?

September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I am down to get a dental implant but have been advised that I will need to get a bone graft before I am able to go ahead with the procedure as there is insufficient bone to support the implant. Considering I am now in my 70’s would this procedure be safe to go ahead for me? What can I expect?

September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I am looking to get dental implants for all of my lower teeth which are in a bad condition. Could you tell me whether it would be better to get a denture or something along the lines of dental bridges or crowns, or even something else?

How long does the dental implant procedure take?

September 2nd, 2010
Q.
I ave had problems with my teeth since I can remember and am now going tot ake the plunge and get a dental implant in hope that this will finally sort out the trouble I have had. However, I don’t want to be walking around with gaps in my teeth when I get the dental implant and wait for an attachment. Could you please tell me how long the whole process takes from getting a tooth extractes, then the implant and then finally a fake tooth attached to this?
