How long after implant procedure will there be blood?

September 5th, 2010
Q.
When should there stop being any blood residue when rinsing the mouth out with salted water? I am now a week after getting the implant but am still finding some blood every now and then? Should I be worried?

Does dental insurance cover the cost of dental implants?

September 5th, 2010
Q.
Is dental insurance able to cover any of the dental implant procedure. If not directly for the implant itself do you happen to know if it can cover the bone grafting. Have any of your patients gone down this route?

Is it possible to change the implant tooth?

September 4th, 2010
Q.
Hello, I had an implant on my 6th, six months ago and the prosthetic tooth was fixed on it about three weeks ago. implant went very well.two questions 1-Is it possible to change the tooth on the implant after it’s been fixed? mine seems too short. my dentist had to shave teeth on the same side of it too much that now I can feel a gap between them when I close my mouth and pressure on my 3rds and 4ths teeth which is driving me crazy. 2-Will I be able to chew with the prosthetic tooth on the implant without any pain? because I can’t chew crunchy or alittle harder food, like apples!Nuts? don’t even think about it!

Is there an infection above dental implant?

September 4th, 2010
Q.
Hi Nick, I had a dental implant about 8 years ago and I think I am developing gum disease right above the implant. I have only noticed it in the last week but it already bleeds and i pushed down on the swelling today and a bad smelling small amount of puss and blood came out. Does this mean it is quite advanced? I am currently living away from my country and cannot see a dentist for quite a while. Will I loose my tooth? Thank you

How much do 7 dental implants cost?

September 4th, 2010
Q.
Could you please give me an estimate for the cost of 7 dental implants? This sounds like a lot but my teeth are mesed up. Does having them all done at once help to get the price cut down a bit?

How are mini implants different from normal implants?

September 4th, 2010
Q.
Could you please tell me what the difference is between the normal dental implants and the mini implants? Do they serve different purposes or are they just different choices for patients who require a dental implant?

What sedation is used for dental implants?

September 3rd, 2010
Q.
What kind of sedation is used as part of the dental implant procedures or procedures seeing as there is the need for a few appointments or something like that. Is there any special sedation techniques for those who hold a fear of the dentist, or is it the same for everybody?

Are dental implants screwed into bone?

September 3rd, 2010
Q.
Are dental implants screwed into the jawline or are they cemented in with the special dental cement, or even a bit of both? Does this depend on the type of dental implant that is being used?

Would invisalign or fixed braces work best with dental implants?

September 3rd, 2010
Q.
Would you be able to tell me which one out of invislaign and metal braces would be best at achieving results for a person who has three dental implants? I have heard you are able to have braces with dental implants so I don’t see a problem there but would it make a difference either way I went in terms of the braces I choose?
