Is there something wrong with the area where I received the implant or is it just healing?

June 30th, 2011
Q.
I recently had two implants put in at the same time my surgeon removed a decayed tooth and done some bone grafting. Both of these implants failed, but I am still really sore around this area. I had the implants put in 6 weeks ago, then one taken out two weeks ago, then the other 10 days ago. Yesterday a small piece of bone came out of the site area and bled a tiny bit, this morning the site felt ok, but later in the day it is very sore again. Do you think that everything is still healing or do you think there is a problem. The soresness comes and goes and does not keep me awake at night. Thank you,

When you have a dental implant do they replace the root too?

June 30th, 2011
Q.
When you have a dental implant do they replace the root too? or is just a case of an implant being drilled into the gum and then the tooth being placed on top? Thanks.,

Should I have my wisdom teeth replaced with implants?

June 30th, 2011
Q.
I\’m having all of my wisdom teeth removed due to their growth, two of them have pushed into my gums and are causing a lot of problems. I was just wondering if you think I should have dental implants to replace these teeth OR are wisdom teeth not really that important? Thanks,

Should I have all of my teeth removed and replaced with dentures?

June 30th, 2011
Q.
I was addicted to methamphetamine for over 15 years. I have been clean for 2 1/2 years. The damage I have done to my teeth is extensive. My teeth are cracking off at the gum line and my front teeth are all cracked in half. I am scared to death to go to the dentist. I am in college and plan on getting a job in the legal field. But, first impressions are everything and to be truthful, I do not even smile anymore. Should I just have them all pulled and get dentures or is there another alternative?,

The crown that came with my implant feels very loose, what should I do?

June 30th, 2011
Q.
I\’m a bit concerned. I\’ve had my implant in for 2 years now and it\’s been no bother but now my crown on top feels very loose and my gums bleed around that area on occasion. Should I be worried? I\’m not sure what to do. Any advice would be great, thanks,,
