Q. I don\’t really udnerstand what the implant is. It seems to say that is a replacement for a tooth but then I read that you need a crown or bridge with it. why is this?,
A. An implant is the \”root\” portion of the whole tooth. Therefore you would require an abutment and crown to be attached to the implant.
