I have a decayed gum in a crowned teeth – should I get an implant now?

Q. It has recently been discovered that I have decay above the gum line around both of my two crowned front teeth my dentist says that he may just be able to remove the crowns and replace them. Is this worth a try or should I opt for two implants? Confused aged 77,
A. Try the crowns if the roots are sound, if not then consider removing the teeth and replacing them with dental implants
